The Mid Mon Valley Transit Authority announced an extension to the current mask mandate. Riders are required to wear masks or face coverings on MMVTA buses until May 3, 2022.
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) statement, the CDC continues to monitor the spread of the Omicron COVID-19 variant, especially the BA.2 subvariant.
MMVTA is asking riders to respect the mandate in order to minimize transit delays that stem from mask conversations.
