What is Fare Capping?
Fare capping automatically tracks how much you spend on fares over time.
Here's how it works:
- 1. Add funds to your TraXster Pay account (stored value)
- 2. Choose the pass for your trip. Use QR code at farebox
- 3. Every paid trip counts toward your 7-day or 31-day cap
- 4. Once the cap is reached, the farebox will show $0 for the rest of that period
With Fare Capping, if you reach your MAX FARE, you still scan your ticket - but you won't be charged again until the next fare period begins.
